# Trading

The "Swap" tab is where you can trade one token for another. It is a simple swap interface, just select the two tokens you wish to exchange.&#x20;

Here is a video tutorial to swap made by an ambassador :arrow\_down\_small:

The liquidity provided to the exchange comes from Liquidity Providers ("LPs") who stake their tokens in "Pools". In exchange, they get LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens, which can also be staked to earn VOLT tokens in the "farm".

When you make a token swap (trade) on the exchange you will pay a **trading fee.** A portion of the trading fees is distributed amongst VOLT stakers.

We will also offer a StableSwap integration for users to be able to swap between stablecoins with low to 0% slippage. This mechanism was brought to us by the Curve Finance team. You can read more about how it works [here](https://curve.fi/files/stableswap-paper.pdf).<br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.voltage.finance/voltage/the-platform/trading.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
